2. Measures implemented
- Semantic headings and logical page structure.
- Keyboard-operable navigation, dropdowns, gallery filters and dialogs.
- Visible keyboard focus indicators.
- Alternative text for meaningful images.
- Labels for forms, buttons and interactive controls.
- Responsive layouts that adapt to smaller screens.
- High-contrast text and controls using the VIHC brand palette.
- Reduced dependence on colour alone to communicate meaning.
- Administrator-managed translations and automated fallback across 85 languages.
3. Target standard
The website aims to follow the principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA where reasonably achievable. This statement is not a certification of complete conformance.
4. Translation and reading support
Language tools are provided to improve access. Human-approved wording is preferred, while automated translation remains a convenience and may contain errors. The English version is the reference where interpretation differs.
5. Known limitations
- Some third-party translation controls may not provide the same accessibility quality as the core website.
- Scanned, legacy or image-based documents may require remediation.
- Some externally sourced images or linked services may have incomplete descriptions or controls.
- Information supplied by third parties may not yet be available in every supported language.
6. Compatible use
The website is designed for current versions of major browsers and common assistive technologies. Keeping browsers and assistive software updated generally provides the best experience.
7. Requesting an alternative format
If content cannot be accessed, request an alternative format through the contact form. Include the page address, the affected content, the preferred format and a way to respond. VIHC will route the request and aim to provide a reasonable alternative.
8. Reporting a problem
Accessibility feedback is welcome. Describe what you were trying to do, the barrier encountered, the device or assistive technology used and any error message displayed.
9. Review
This statement will be reviewed as the website, content and external services evolve.
